Chapter 14

In chapter 14, Dill runs away from his house in Meridian County in Mississippi to Scout's house in Maycomb. Dill ran away because his new father was neglectful to him. His father locked him in the basement and chained Dill to a wall. Dill was left in the basement to die without food or water. Dilll eventually pulled th echains off the wall and was off. Scout had thought she saw a snake under her bed and was scared. Jem came in and saw that it was Dill. Jem told Atticus that e was hear and Dill was frightened. Atticus had said that he would tell Aunt Rachel that he was hear and he could spend the night. So, Dill ended up staying with the Finch's which made him happy because he got to stay with Scout.
